Jam the whole assembly back in teh vice to push the cowl past the filed off shaft "wings" I then decided to drill the retaining roll-pin hole on the other set of flats to preserve the stampings. If you don't have access to roll-pins, use anything else that can be punched into whatever diameter hole you decide to drill.
