evening all. wondering if any of you have ever come across a squeaking fuel pump. Recently the fuel pump sounds fine when turning the ignition, i.e. a couple of ticks to fill the float chamber before starting. however, sometimes when driving,idling i've noticed that the pump is squeaking like a shoe!

does this indicate the imminent demise of the trusty pump, or just in need of a service?

this looks to have stumped everyone!

Notice you say the squeak is when driving or idling . I assume you have listened to it with the car stationary and bonnet up to confirm it is the pump ?
