Hi people. Saw this advert on autotrader and quite fancy it as a usable resto. The back doors are well proud of the corner posts though. Is there adjustment that can be done to bring them more into line?

The doors look pretty rotten to me, quite a lot in other places too. No adjustment on the hinges as they should be flat against the pillar and door. Possible the hinges are bent or very worn, the one on the top left doesn't look right.

Hi Panky. The ad does say doors need doing but I agree the hinges don't look right. Mot'd until 27the Dec 2019 and mot history on dvla says little used since 2013. The foot piller on one side looks bad but the rest? If I knew that with new rear door parts as required and new hinge kits or hinges would cure the door alignment I think I would go for it.

If you look at the full rear view photo, the right hand rear timber pillar is thinner that the left hand one, it could have had a homemade pillar fitted and may be the reason for the rear door being proud?

To me, it looks like a typical "not great but maybe OK" Traveller. The back doors would be the least of my concerns quite honestly as they can easily be replaced. The rear doors surely are always slightly proud of the pillars on the Traveller - I think that is part of the design.
A Traveller for £3500 nowadays isn't going to have the greatest bodywork is it? I wouldn't consider purchasing one without a very thorough inspection of the entire car......

I think you could find far better for that kind of money.

On reflection and looking further, the 'thinner' pillar may be an illusion caused by the shadow given by the protruding door. Difficult to be definitive until viewing in person.
