Blanking plugs

I'm trying to motivate myself to start rebuilding an Ital engine, I fitted some home made solid threaded brass plugs to the ends of the oil galleries on my last build but have wondered if I might be better fitting steel ones this time. Maybe I'm overthinking the difference in expansion between cast iron and brass?
