Part number DST 107 Caused an intermittent problem, the worst kind is an intermittent problem.
Symptoms, no spark at the points.
The cable would break and remake when it felt like it, as a problem shared is apparently a problem halved, I thought a solution shared would be even better.
It is fitted between the distributor and cap simply sliding in place.
The man I consulted, who is more knowledegable than I simply checked it on a meter while wobbling it and hey presto.

That wire can sometimes fail. At least it was an easy fix once identified
Intermittent firing problems are frequently poor/dirty connections in the ignition system or ignition components that are failing. It could just as easily been a faulty rotor arm - only determined by a methodical system of elimination.

Indeed, prior to this I did swap the rotor arm, condensor and even the coil before the meter was unleashed.
Fortunately all those spares are kept in the boot, just in case.
