What SHOULD it look like?

Hello, I'm about to embark on some very extensive bodywork repairs on my 1970 Traveller. I don't mind forking out a few quid to buy quality repair panels to get a good finish. Can anyone point me in the right direction for pictures of what the front inner wings, sills and rear inner wings are supposed to look like? i.e. just off the production line or very original concourse winners?

Worth searching for a thread by 'TAUPE' showing his traveller rebuild. Astonishing work!

Most Morris Minor owners are very happy to let you look at their cars and take photographs. Why not join your local branch and go to a meeting or two? At this time of year there are many classic car shows with Minors on display too. Failing that, there is probably a Morris Minor specialist in your area who will let you visit and look at cars. The ones I have met have always been very helpful and enthusiastic.
There are also many published books on the subject with good clear photographs.
The best quality panels are original BMC ones which are hard to find now. The best quality replacements I have found are those produced in this country and widely sold by the larger specialists such as Bull Motif Spares and ESM. British Motor Heritage make a few outer panels - wings and front grille panel I think but not much else. These are much better quality then the cheaper "pattern" panels manufactured abroad but are also much more expensive of course.
