The Motor looks to be well cared for and has been modifed it seems in various places - most notably the heater feed and also the unusual routing from the benzin pump. What does the green canister do on the RHS of the picure? Is it an original engine?

The heater return feed is normal when the engine is fitted with a after market heated inlet manifold.
The owner appears to have used part of the original copper return pipe to make up the short fall in pipe length. 8)
The green canister is the oil separator (Pt No: 12A1212) which is part of the front cam follower/tappet cover.
The benzine/petrol feed is via what looks to be a fuel filter/pressure regulator & which is a worthwhile addition to the fuel supply system.
