Morris Minor Owners Club

This enquiry on behalf of a pal who has a Minor pickup truck with a grumbling wheel bearing (front, offside, I think). I seem to recall previous complaints about the quality of certain wheel bearings so would be grateful for any recommendations as to sourcing a good one.

I buy (nearly) all my bearings from my local bearing stockist. They offer alternative qualities for many bearings. I usually opt for the middle of the range, but definitely avoiding the cheaper end of the market. ABC are my local stockist.

Thanks John...so it seems SKF part numbers 7205BEP for the inner, and 7303BEP for the outer bearing.
I'll let my pal know.......is there anything else to be borne in mind....that discussion in the link got a bit complicated!

I read it as the BECBP versions being the better option and stick with SKF.
Hopefully Phil or IslipMinor will be along to comment soon, they know more than me.

I would go with the BECBP bearings (part numbers in the attached thread link) and ensure they be of SKF manufacture.

Yes, but I don't understand fully (40°Face Adjusted Angular Contact?) - was hoping for an idiot's guide as I'm not an engineer!

There is no need to be an engineer to obtain the correct bearings - just obtain and fit.
