Are any of you using polyurethane bushes in the front suspension top upright/damper joint - and/or in the lower arm T pin joint ? Any suggestions where best to buy these ?

I bought mine from Charles ware, i now have poly bushes in every place there was originally rubber. Hopefully should make a big difference when it finally gets back on the road.

ive got em in the eyebolts, u can feel the difference , my rubbers were shot , no more clanking/strange noises got em from bull motif

I tried them and went back to rubber. Bull Motif do an upgraded rubber bush which is better than the original, and in my opinion superior to the poly bushes for normal road use with a standard engine. It all depends on how you intend to use the car.

Ah - it was Bull uprated rubber bushes I had - they are destroyed after only about 2000 miles !! Just a bit worried in case the poly bushes on the T pin put too much strain back into the chassis legs and cause cracking. And no sign of polybushes on jlh site - do Bull now have a web site - i haven't used them for a couple of years. I have poly bushes on all the joints on my Mini - but they are easy to get a hold of !!

If the eyebolt pin or socket are badly worn they will destroy the bushes very quickly. Bull Motif have promised a web site soon but I haven't found it yet.

I fitted poly bushes a couple of years ago with no problems, but others have complained of the ride becoming a bit harsh but this is normally because to high a shore rating has been used the original rubber ones were around 65 shore so you dont need to go up much at all as they have far better wearing properties.

For us learners, can you tell us what 'shore' means?

It's a 'hardness' rating. The higher the number, the harder the compound.
