Haunted Tyre !!

Took Jethro for a six mile round trip to town and back last week to blow the cobwebs out and parked up under his carport as usual.
I always glance at the car when going in or out so was surprised to see the rear offside tyre suddenly flat at 6am this morning when I returned home after night shift.
Suspecting foul play I replayed the CCTV footage (I have a camera looking directly at the car) and was surprised to witness the offside rear of the car slowly settling as the tyre gradually deflated at 2:30 am!
Not having time to mess with it I jacked up the wheel and checked for obvious puncture evidence but found nothing.
I will reinflate it later today with my new digital wonder inflator from Halfords and see if it holds pressure but what would cause it to suddenly start losing air - faulty valve maybe?....... :o

I've had a couple tires go flat and couldn't find the cause, at first. The possible occasional or one time only causes that I found were, a torn valve stem, a dislodge valve (didn't re-seat properly), and foreign options that would only leak after periods of no use.

The tyres on my elderly Ransomes gang mower used to go flat when parked occasionally, then got worse.
These are small trailer type tyres that I bought with rims, first I had to weld one of the rims, they are two halves welded together and the weld wasn’t continuous. Within four years they would start going down. By using soapy water I found the tyres were porous/perished.
Because they are cheapish tyres on rubbish rims I put OKO tyre sealant in them and they haven’t gone down since.
Please don’t put OKO in your tyres though, great for off road if you don’t mind rotting your rims.
Weirdly a mate of mine went on a motorbike road trip abroad and he had to carry tyre sealant before he was allowed to go…
