Ford Brake Disc Part N° ??

Post by pgp001 »

Hi all

I am looking at replacing the discs on my Traveller with some new ones, I know they are Ford ones because the name is cast into the caliper.
I have seen reference to them being original fitment on a MK3 Escort and having a Mintex part number MDC392.

I can buy a pair of new Ford discs for about half the price that the specialist Morris parts suppliers are charging for the modified ones, so for me it it makes sense to do it this way.
I have my own workshop facilities for modifying them with a set of new stud holes on the correct PCD, but just wanted someone to confirm I have the right part number for the discs, and that the only modification required is to add the four new stud holes please.

Thanks
Phil

the apec braking online catalogue has a lot of good pictures and dimensions which might help with identification , i think it also has a cross reference facility
