Had loads of issues trying to access the site last night . There now seem to be various changes ? Am I correct or is it just an old guy not totally understanding ?

You're not having a senior moment! There are indeed changes. Tried to log on very late last night. Message appeared. 'Please wait whilst we update the forum'. The main website was updated some days ago.

Handy being able to go straight to the most recent unread post in a thread

I had lots of problems yesterday and when I did get back on this afternoon I had to log back in .

On the old version I just went on the little orange box next to the title, to go to the first unread post, very useful for long posts. Is this symbol coming back?

Hope we have some more improvements i.e. photo loading

I'm able to post pics ok from pc/laptop. Can't post from smart-phone... unresolved re-sizing issues (mine I think, not a a forum issue).

I can’t upload from my phone either.. file too large..

Always had that issue. Default size on my phone is 1836 x 2486 pixels which is too large for the forum as we established a few weeks back. My phone has no facility to re-size

All my photos have already been resized and filed on my PC. I attached a photo on the "going under the hammer" thread last week perfectly easily but cannot now attach an identically sized photo to the same thread due to this latest change

Probably partly a matter of preference but I resize on my laptop to largest dimension of 600. I successfully posted one a few hours ago in Off Topic > How we used to travel. Resized to 600 x 410 pixels (88.6kb)

Has anyone had difficulty in replying to pms? Not as easy as it used to be!

Yes, I think that is probably the issue. The re-size I have used is a little larger than that and always uploaded directly to this site until this week. Obviously yet another change that (I don't think?) we were expecting. I don't really feel like re-sizing all my pictures a second time frankly.

I suppose I'm lucky in a way. As a long-standing eBay seller (not a dodgy one I hasten to add), I find that a maximum of 600 pixels in one dimension is more than adequate for that site, and allows fairly quick uploading of multiple pics. Also seems to be the optimum size for sending via hotmail attachment.

There's a thread in the 'Probs with the board' forum - could you please post any issues there so I can just check one place for things that need addressing, cheers. I'm not aware of anything changing which could affect uploads and I've posted a pic myself today to check, so please help me help you by giving a decent description of any issues!
