i found 3 types of rocker cover gaskets
the original cork gasket, a rubber gasket and a silicone gasket.
Does anyone have experiences with the rubber or silicone rocker cover gasket?
The cork gasket should be known....
sorry i dont find the link to the rubber gasket....
here a link to a silicone gasket (for example)

I appreciate your comments

Joachim,
I can recommend the rubber gaskets-only because I make them and also the the rubber tappet chest rubber gaskets.
Silicone is in my opinion not the right material due to it's oil resistance.

Care to expand on what you mean by this?

Maurice,
If you look at this chart you will see that silicone is "unsatisfactory" for applications with lubricating oils.

My gaskets are made from NBR.
Quote"Nitrile rubber (NBR), also called nitrile-butadiene rubber, an oil-resistant synthetic rubber produced from a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. Its main applications are in fuel hoses, gaskets, rollers, and other products in which oil resistance is required."unquote

Yes, interesting info. So, best to keep the silicone sealant for bathrooms, then, I guess...
