Removing seatbelt attachment

Hi everyone

I am aiming to lay a new carpet in my Morris Traveller (1968, 1098cc).

To do so I will need to strip all the fittings, including the seatbelt fastening (see picture below). I couldn’t see where/how this is attached to the body-does anyone have any experience in this area?

All advice/ ideas very gratefully received!

Looks like mine, big bolt underneath it , get your head down or feel for it with your fingers....it may have a round plastic cover on it..

Hi Rob and Sleeper

Thank you for the kind words and advice - I will get my head my head down and have a proper feel with my fingers (as the bishop said to the actress  )

(sorry - that's the immature 14 year old in me. Shocking)

Rob - thanks for the kind words about the floor. It's one of the few areas where the car doesn't have rust
