My friend has a traveller with a plate on the bulkhead that reads
Engine no 9805
Chassis no 5980
Reg WWL633X
Manufactured by Morris Minor Centre Bath
Does anybody know anything about this vehicle before I approach him to purchase it?

Contact Zac Ware or Tim Brennan at CW in Bristol. Several were made from spares after manufacturing stopped. One in the Midlands but I didn't know that CW made one.

You could also look at DVLA website at the car's MOT history & other things . It does appear to have been built & registered 1982 . Be aware that the car is probably not " historic class " & vehicle duty may be payable .

It's a white one isn't it. It was built from a new bodyshell and parts in 1982 for someone I know. He owned it for many years before selling it perhaps 10 years ago. I saw it for sale last year on the car and classic website. I cannot remember the price but it looked in reasonable condition and had just had a fair bit of underbody welding carried out I recall. It wasn't expensive and I imagine it sold quite quickly and the person selling it now only purchased it recently?
One disadvantage is that road tax will be payable.

Hi , check its MOT history , loads of fails and work carried out !!!!! If someone is seriously interested in purchasing its a reasonable place to start prior to your own inspection !!!!

It was built some time after most Minors but it is still a 35 year old car which was used everyday for many years. I don't think its MOT history is any more revealing than any other car of its age probably.

It's easy to forget that a 35year old car is pretty old by most peoples standards!

I tend to agree looking at the fails mine had up to 1992 when it was that age.

It looks like a 'project car' now.
Good job I don't want it as fleabay tells me the owner may not post it to me here in France
That sort of delivery comment on fleabay and elsewhere always make me smile.

I think it has had the paintwork tidied up a bit since I last saw it but it clearly requires quite a bit of work now. The woodwork is poor and it still isn't tax (or MOT) exempt, so is a bit something and nothing. It is an interesting car in a way but too expensive in my opinion. It has changed hands a few times with each new owner adding a bit to the price!

Does it have drill holes where a body number plate would have been?

Wondering whether bodyshell NEW or reconditioned.

The bodyshell was brand new and unused at the time of build in 1982.
