What ho, chums!
Just spotted on the Ariel Owners Motorcycle Club this link which gives you a guided tour of the 5.25 mile circuit in the Sennybridge/Brecon Beacons area which'll host racing on open roads (owned by MOD) on the 4-5th of August next year. Perhaps "Cardiff Rob" can give us a time to lap it in his bolide!

Anyway, it sounds good to me, MikeN.

Our local well-known steep hill Sutton Bank was recently closed for maintenance for a week. It struck me what a good opportunity for an occasional hill-climb day before it re-opened Pay per run, timing set-up, mandatory competition insurance etc, would be a hoot. Even has a large parking area at the top.

Sutton Bank was one of the early venues for Speed Hill Climbing.
For a good read on the history of British speed hill climbing I can recommend Uphill Racers by Chris Mason. ISBN: 1-870519-08-6.

A lot of 1st gear in a Minor. When I had a GT-Four it was mainly 3rd and fourth, only 2nd at the steep bend
