Cleaning vinyl

Hi guys

I have a Morris Traveller (1969) and I'm giving her some TLC. The seats are the original but are (predictably) somewhat worn and stained. I can't afford re-upholstery and I want to keep the orginal seats anyway, so was hoping that a bloody good scrub and clean would help. Can anyone recommend any good cleaning materials/techniques/or tips which might help?

Thank you!

Alex

Hi, There are lots of threads on the site regarding this but I have found the following works well. Warm water with a generous splash of vanish. Use a nail brush to work it well into the grain then leave for a few moments. Wipe off with a micro fibre cloth and repeat if required. Good luck

Think he either a) has an industrial size washing machine or b) rather more likely he took the covers off, it isn't difficult! There is a post here or on line somewhere with a step by step guide !

I find that stubborn deposits can be shifted with a clean rag and spirit wipe (Also called pre paint wipe or panel wipe). Note this is not white spirit and certainly not thinners!
