Hi friends
I want to know about 1950 MM car brake system ,
1. Master cylinder
2.Front wheel Cylinders
What is the diffarents of master cylinder and front wheel cylinders when the compare with 1000 (before 1962) car ?
Where the place can buy front wheel cylinders (1950 car )?
And can i buy master pump '' inside piston '' for it (1950 car master pump )
Regards
Sandun .

Master cylinder. You can but new cylinders complete for the cost of a tyre. Different internal size but OK to use.
Front wheel cylinders. Expensive for the MM. Not easy to find. You can change them to 1955 age brakes by changing the backplate/springs/cylinders to the 7 inch 948 ones for less money. MM are aluminium, 948 are steel (and cheap)

Given that Sandun's car is a 1957 I think he may be using a MM as shorthand for Morris Minor rather than Series MM and 1950 may be read as 1950's. That said all the information given to him is germane!
