hi,
does anyone know if it is possible to get an adaptor or a modified speedo cable to suit the type 9 ford box?

I suggest that you try a Minor Specialist who supplies Ford gearbox kits or alternatively, I saw this advertisment for Speedy Cables (www.speedycables.com) who can manufacture specials.

Yes, I got mine from the Morris Minor centre in Birmingham. It's a new cable with the correct end on for the Ford unit.
