Hi My friends ,

I am going to make small restoring center for Morris.

What tools want to buy for it , i have seen some homemade special tool also , can you tell me /Advice , with pic many thanks.

The required special tools for the Minor are listed in the Minor workshop manual.
Whilst you will not require all of them you can pick and choose what you will need from the list.
I would suggest for a start a good selection of Whitworth and UNF spanners/sockets as listed at the start of the mechanical section of this web site, a torque wrench, a clutch centering tool, a socket or spanner for the starter dog, a spanner or socket for the camshaft nut, a spanner for the rear hub nut, a socket for the diff pinion nut and a starter motor pinion spring compressor.
If you can obtain them a set of BSF taps and dies or at least 3/8" BSF and 5/16" BSF taps and dies.
You can make up a valve guide removal and fitting tool - the dimensions are in the workshop manual.
Whilst not absolutely necessary a gearbox dummy lay-shaft does help. Mine is home made to the same spec as the factory item.
A pair of circlip pliers both internal and external for the propshaft U/Js etc.
A hub puller.
If you have the majority of the above tools listed above and a good selection of various hand tools you should be able to do most jobs on the Minor.

I'd add a block and tackle or an engine hoist - the engine can be lifted with a sling and a couple of strong people, but it's much easier and safer with the right tools. A cooling system tester (pressurise the system to check for leaks). Depending on the type of repairs you want to do then the obvious big thing is a welding set and angle grinder.

When the soldering /welding body , using ocsijon lamp in here , How about England ? They use electric one ?

Another thought, if you haven't already got them then a good trolley jack and axle stands. The problem with setting up from scratch is that it can cost a lot. At least with a Minor you can manage with basic tools and don't need anything too complex. As you get going then a pit or a ramp (car lift) will make life much easier.

Initially you can roll a car onto its side on an old bed mattress, but if you get a lot of business then a car roller frame will help - but take it one step at a time, you don't need everything in one go.

Welding/soldering can be done with either gas or electric, each has its benefits and fans.

If you are doing full restorations then you will need to be able to paint. Brushes are fine if used well, but for spped you'll probably want a spray gun which means a compressor and airline. The problem is that the list goes on and on.

Oh yes, we're talking Minors, so of course a grease gun is essential
