Just thought I would post to say hello as a new member....
My first car was a white Traveller that I paid £35 for. It needed a gearbox, so £10 later from the scrap yard, it was running. It served me well for a couple of years and then, being a fashion conscious teen, decided to move upmarket to a Vauxhall Viva
Now, 40 years later, I wanted to go back to my youth.... I have rebuilt several cars over the years including a 50's split screen convertible Minor, and a Heritage shell MGB. However, age and health have taken their toll, and I felt unable to undertake another full restoration.
So, after several months looking, I came across 'Apple' that was being sold. It is in near, if not perfect condition, and well suited my requirements.
The car was meticulously rebuilt from the ground up several years ago, to be photographed during it's rebuild for inclusion in Ray Newell's 'The Complete Traveller'.
I am based in Essex, and I look forward to meeting some fellow local Traveller fans in the near future....
