Hi All,
Jethro's passenger door is rubbing the front wing at the bottom hinge position when opening and closing and the paint is being removed.
Can I shim the bottom door hinge or do I have to reposition the front wing to alter the gap? :-?

You can undo the bottom 2 and the bolt immediately above and then lever the wing bottom/rear edge forwards enough to get it clear. Easiest option, IMHO.

The passenger side door has had almost no use since 2011 and I have just noticed that the gap is very narrow between the door and wing. There is no damage or corrosion and the drivers door is fine. :-?

Bought a set of stainless steel door hinge shims.
1mm thick and easy to fit - should do the trick......watch this space!

If the shims work I will get some as my rear door rubs on the post at the bottom, means I wont have to keep touching up chipped paint,😃

Was going to order some this morning, but will cut up some plate 2"x2" and insert them to give me some idea of how much shimming I need first...

Could be the top hinge pin...is the door dropping ?
Hope it's not rust at the bottom of the B pillar...

No rust on pillar, very sound, but I'm not convinced the door is right and all the bright work around the top isn't sitting right, but I'm saving it for a sunny day, it does drop slightly and I've just noticed the bar type hinge bit is missing, more bits to source😀,
