I have been veggie for many years, I have no problem with meat eaters as i used to eat meat but killing for fun or just because you can seems inhumane in this day and age.

its a fake ,he didn't do it and the photo is not in England. or so reported in paper. Living in the countyside as I do,it would be hard to find so many fox in one day,as he was supposed to do,let alone shoot that number. Its time these stories were delt with,if it is a fake the posters should be prosecuted. Its got to the stage where you can't believe anything you see in the media.

I went off foxes when one murdered most of our chickens. It was like the Somme battlefield

Imho your fault for not securing the chickens - cannot blame foxes - my chickens enclosure is thick wire, buried down a foot with concrete blocks surrounding the base.
Seen a fox go past, and the chickens were NOT particularly bothered.

It can't have been a nice thing to witness those scenes, but I suppose it's done by instinct. Unlike some of our abattoirs where incidentally, the scene must be just as grim.

A fox kills the other chickens to silence them and I do agree the chickens need to be kept secure.Youtube have a video of some Asians punching and kicking sheep in a slaughter house and then throwing them on there backs its disgusting watch it if you dare !.Halal and kosha slaughter should be banned its cruel and barbaric and causes suffering to the poor animals .Why do we allow it we are a Christian country and are forced to accept other religions rules just to be pc

The b*gger excavated a 18 inch deep hole under the buried wire in broad daylight! Thereafter we let them completely free range and relied on the alpacas to guard them. Also they had the option to get up a tree! Worked pretty well. We lost the odd one but no more massacres.
Trouble with an enclosure is that it can become a prison for the birds if the defences get breached.

Cannot see how a box of museli will deter a fox?

Is there a breakfast cereal named after a small camelid?

Kill all the foxes and get overrun with vermin. Rather have a few foxes than millions of rabbits and a plague of feral pigeons. Same with badgers, they clean up carrion.

Quite taken aback! Completely misread. It's all about balance of nature. Remove too many predators and you will be overrun with problem species like pigeons and rabbits. I'm from a farming family and I've seen it first hand. Without foxes bunnies breed like...err...rabbits. Then they eat all the corn round the edges of the field. If you let the hunt in they'll also gallop through your corn and destroy your profit margin. Never lost a healthy lamb to foxes. Pet dogs are worse! Humanely cull excessive numbers of foxes, but wholesale slaughter for 'sport' is disgusting

Foxes eat afterbirth after lambing

and would only take a sick or dying lamb.I presume you are a farmer TDV102

and you have a very good kind outlook to nature and wildlife unlike some I have met .
