I have just finished reading Noel Barber's book '7 Days Of Freedom' - The Hungarian Uprising 1956. ISBN: 333 14943 2.
On page 215 there is a reference to Joan Fish The British Consul in Budapest using her Morris Minor to fetch food from the Austrian frontier during the uprising.
I have no more details of the car in question - maybe someone on here has more details?
Minor in Hungary.

Re: Minor in Hungary.
Pretty sure that it was the Sunday Times that commented on this a few years ago. Can't think how else it would sound so familiar. Or maybe the BBC....

Re: Minor in Hungary.
The last published reference to Hungarian Uprising I have come across is the obituary notice in the telegraph of John Sadovy who was a photographer at the time of the uprising and possibly his most famous !!!!!! photos were of the cutting down of several Avo secret policemen outside their headquarters.
