Hi,
Well I'm please to say that with a little creative welding (namely filling of the excessive number of holes found under where my indicators used to be positioned), reshaping of some homemade brackets which were subsequently then also welded into place, followed by a home paint job (can't afford a full respray at present) and I think the front end looks much neater.
Unfortunately the nearest paint matching service couldn't come up with a match, so I got some Almond Green from Bull Motif, which is close enough for now.....
Once it's had chance to harden I'll give it a 'T' cut but I'm much happier now that my brackets look part of the bumper and I'm glad to have found a solution that didn't involve cutting into those hard to replace series 2 front wings.
All I need to do now is edit out that awful 'pink' dog picture stuck on my neighbours spare wheel..............
Best wishes,
Mike.

Wouldn't have noticed the shade difference if you hadn't pointed it out, looks very neat. Well done!
I've got half a litre of Almond Green which I no longer need after a change of plan. If you were thinking of continuing your search for the perfect shade match, I could put a blob on a piece of card for you to compare. You'd be welcome to the paint if any use, but you'd need to find a way of getting it from Leeds.
Mark
Edit - just noticed where you live and as it happens I'm running a job in Mansfield at the moment, so delivery not a problem!

Thanks for the offer of paint Mark, however I want to put her back to her original colour of Empire (dark) Green, when finances permit.
Best wishes,
Mike.
Yes, I treated her to a pair of raised white digit ones, both plates have the rounded corners (like original back plates), as I prefer the look on Moggies.New numberplate too!
Best wishes,
Mike.
