Hello All,

My name is David, I’m 33, and obviously, I’m a Morris Minor Owner.
I use ‘Morris Minor’ in the loosest sense possible, she runs hot, she’s a multitude of colours, the carpets rotten an the clutch is one gear change away from giving up on life altogether…
… But she is still going, just…!
I’m hoping to do a ‘quick’ restore on the important bits over the summer (the bits that make you stop an the bits that make you go’ and then work on the aesthetics later.

I hope you’ll all bear with me as I will most likely have lots of very stupid questions!

Cheers!

N.B.

Sorry if theres a 'New Users Post Here' thread, I couldnt see it!

Welcome David. Don't be shy to ask questions. There's plenty of knowledge and good opinions here.
My clutch also has been one gearchange away from death for the last year or so. Its still hanging in there and dealing with my very short but steeply upward-sloping driveway (**touches wood**).
When you get a minute, can you post a pic of your Minor on here. We like to see 'em all :)

Never be ashamed of a Minor! It doesn't matter what state they are in, they are all tribute to the genius of Issigonis, and the esteem in which we owners hold them, rusty or concours, be proud of it !

Indeed. We like 'em all. Rusty. Shiny. Standard. Modified. Running. Non-running. Multi-coloured. Incomplete. Barn-find. Pile of parts on the garage floor (or cylinder head in the dish-washer :D )

Looks basically sound and not at all bad. Hopefully a straightforward rolling resto for you :)

Gaffer tape is very neatly applied btw :D

Has it been modded as inseams high at the back / lower the front altho it may be the angle. I have seen far far worse, indeed mine was worse.

Be careful of the dishwasher! Memsahib's tend to throw wobblies when they find engine parts in there !

I had access to free traveller springs so fitted those after mine gave up the ghost, there obviously 7 leaf as apposed to the STD 5.
If I put a couple of tool boxes in the boot you can hardly notice though ;)
