**Vinyl on MDF** - **CLOSED**

Hi,

I'm making a pair of scuttle panels and a parcel shelf out of MDF.
They will be covered in new vinyl material.
My question relates to type of adhesive to use - is 3M 90 the best for bonding ?
I read that hot glue could create lumpy patches underneath the vinyl.

Thanks,
Rob

That, or any similar product will do. Fast & easy to use.
A generic spray carpet fitters use is cheaper & readily available at any carpet outlet. I paid £5.00 a can.

I use screwfix for spray glue it works fine for carpet tiles and vinyl, £3.99 for 500ml or if you buy more than 3 it is £3.79, I have made a few items from MDF for auto use it does tend to absorb moisture so i seal it with a cheap varnish or i use the green moisture resistant type.

Thanks both.

I have tried the 'NO NONSENSE CONTACT ADHESIVE NATURAL 500ML' but it has not worked to my liking, curled edges and gaps on flat surfaces. Maybe I should have used alot more of the product and on both surfaces ?

I will try sealing the surface with a varnish then re-try by application on both the vinyl and MDF surfaces :( .

Job done folks :D
