Drilling holes in engine mounts.

Is there any evidence that this works? Has anyone tried it? Having read topics on this site about vibration and noise this has come up as a possible solution, that and replacing engine mounts with NOS (softer). Any ideas would be welcome.
Regards, John.

Sorry, that link doesn't look too good to me. Go to the "Mechanical" area and find "Engine mounts" for today's date the 1st of June. I'm fairly sure I used a 6mm drill.
