The driver and passenger door locks on my Traveller do not actually lock the doors, although the key turns in the barrels suggesting that a linkage of some sort has failed, on both sides.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how was it resolved?

I would suggest removing the handles and then the barrels and if necessary fit new barrels. Don`t underestimate the work involved as you have to remove the inner door frame to get the handles out. It is quite a fiddle and do watch out for sharp edges! Ask me how I know!
