Breakdown Cover

Post by Andy W »

Having more than one vehicle, I dislike these classic car insurance policies that only come with breakdown cover as it works out quite expensive.
Using A-Plan brokers I get good insurance prices & I've just blagged a terrific RAC deal....joint personal cover for the wife & I (much better because you're also covered as a passenger & in any car)......online price is £155 for 12mths......I rang up & got 15mth cover for £100..! :D :D :D
As standard, the RAC have no age limit on vehicles they attend.

Andy.
(BTW: I don't work for either of these companies!)

I have never used Insurance supplied Breakdown cover and as a matter of interest what is the problem with using it. I would like to know as I was thinking of changing to using them in the future, I'm with the RAC now.

I'm with the rac on a joint policy with my partner for any vehicle. Found the cheapest way is through topcashback they can't even match the price on the phone.

Happy with the RAC. Covers all our(6) cars and any other that we may be in. Just like any insurance really. And less than 3 quid a week. Hope we never have to use it but you know that if you drop it something will go wrong. The recovery/ hire car/hotel cover is particularly reassuring when you get to a certain age...

If you have a great premium, or perhaps one car, ins. supplied cover is great, nothing wrong with it at all......as I said in my OP, having several vehicles it works out noticeably cheaper for us to get joint personal RAC cover....the added benefit of being covered in any car is self explanatory. :)
