With more than 50,000 posts on just this site it would be nice to see something to mark his memory, Maybe the blue plaque scheme will intoduce a catagory for people who have been helpful in the cyber world.

It's just got to be a silver plated coil! I would donate towards it, really missing him.

From reading his many "it's never the coil" comments, Maybe a nice mounted coil would be fitting.

A coil with a headlamp peak over it would do the job nicely, we all knew his love of them...

You know, I grew to love and respect Roy greatly and we conversed via Pm's,but must say when I first joined the forum he terrified me with his incredible knowledge and lack of tolerance for inexperienced owners. I almost stopped using the forum because he was so rude! About a year ago I mentioned this to him and he reminded me that he wasn't Jesus Christ!

He made me laugh when he put someone on his 'naughty step'

Roy called a spade a spade and did not suffer fools

sadly a wealth of knowledge has been lost and a very nice man
