Radiator Pressure

Hi, I have a question re the pressure build up you would expect to build up in the radiator after say a 10 mile run.
I have noticed that I am able to release the rad cap after such a run and there is no hiss or any sign of the pressure being released.
The top hose is usually very hot the bottom hose is usually only moderately hot.
The car has a relatively new water pump and I have replaced the thermostat and rad cap (4lbs)
I have also drained and flushed the system before refilling with a suitable anti freeze mix. There is no sign of water loss.
Does this all sound normal?
Thanks.
Mike

Yup! Sounds just like mine. Even after long runs (100-200 miles) at high speed i.e. GPS read 60-65 mph on my '63 Trav 1098 I don't get any boiling which is what I think you fear. And my rad is old and depends on Radweld in various places! The hoses' temps sound right too. Enjoy!
