Borrowing a Minor

Hello all,
I'm a political journalist with the Financial Times newspaper in London - and a keen enthusiast of classic cars! I'm looking for someone who might be willing to loan me their Morris Minor for the next couple of weeks for a work assignment.
As you may have heard, there is a general election happening in the UK and I'm due to be traveling around the country to find what voters are thinking. I did this at the last general election in an old Mini Cooper (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQMCdfhHsdE) and felt a different classic British car would be better this time. I have always loved the Minors (particularly the Clubman) and it would be a lot of fun to drive around. Alas, our budgets do not stretch to purchasing and maintaining one out right.
I realise this is a big ask but thought someone here might be able to help. Please drop me a line at
sebastian.payne@ft.com if so.
Best wishes, Sebastian

Come on, give the guy a break, he sent a polite post, don't give him a false impression of the forum.

My traveller is now down in London interviewing politicians with the Financial Times reporter.
Anyone not of a nervous disposition can follow its adventures on Sebastion Paynes twitter thing. He's calling it 'the minor election roadtrip'....

I do hope your tracking is well set up. Too much of a swing to the right might be unfortunate......

There again veering to the left would leave one in the gutter!

Try being a non-French person living in France waiting to see if Le Pen gets in...
Nice Trav BTW! Have just included a piece about it in the French Club's Spring magazine
