What's this thing do then?

So, I'm no kind of mechanic & came across this in a load of Minor bits & bobs I picked up....anyone care to enlighten me?

it´s a valve spring compressor tool. Used for removing the valves out of the cylinder head

You may find that the valve spring compressor pictured will not fit the 'A' Series cylinder head and may well be for the earlier Morris Minor side valve engine.

I do not know if you will get very much for it as there was one for sale at my local house clearance store for £3.
