Can't help on your wheel/ tyre query, other than to say that minilite wheels do fit Minors. I believe that you would need to inform your insurance company if you do this modification.

Who has told you that 185x60x14 tyres are needed? I had 5.5 x 14 minilites on my previous Minor, with tyre size 165/71/14, and they fitted straight on. If you do a search here for minilite tyres you will see posts from others who have used 175x70x14 tyres with no problems.

I have 51/2 inch minilites from Bull Motif on my Minor and they are fitted with 185/60R14 tyres. They are the recommended tyre for that rim.

The 185/60R14's with 51/2 inch minilites on my Minor do not have spacers fitted. They do not protrude outside the wings, have adequate clearence to the trunnions and do not increase the track front and rear by more than 25 mm. These 3 requirements must be met to comply with VSB 14 which is a modified vehicle guide here in Oz. After this the vehicle must be inspected by a RTA approved engineer and be presented along with his report to the vehicle inspection station before registration is allowed. I do not understand why dalebrignall had to fit spacers. Where are they fitted?
