Is there an adapter available for the spindle end - or any way to change Series II 1956 split-screen wiper arms to a later type ?. (Of course keeping the originals tucked away.) Or any suggestions ?

There a pic of the wiper adapters on my restoration thread here.

They are land rover based, here is one on ebay. This option would be better as it has the bolt head rather than the wee allen headed bolt which wasnt so good. Once they re fitted you can used later splined clap hands wiper arms, makes a huge difference over the original wipers!

Thanks David .. perfect....
So these slide straight on to the 1957 split-screen round spindle and then can take a later Minor arm and blade ?
Do you know what size is the round spindle - is it 6 mm ?

I have attached a pic of two knurled drivers. They are held onto the 1/4 inch dia. spindle by a grub screw and have a splined end to accept a later arm. The OD of the spline is 13.5 mm. They were supplied by 'Flexible Drive' and designated TC99. If they are not quite what you want then email Joshua Bewick NSW state manager and he will probably be able to advise you. His email addres is jbewick@flexibledrive.com.au - I have also attached a link to their home page.
