Front canister breather - repro rubbish?

Hi all,
The canister breather that came with my engine was broken at the brazed joint between the tappet plate and the neck that leads to the canister. I repaired it beautifully with epoxy putty, which lasted all of 5 minutes.
Stage 2, bought another off internet auction, an hours work dragging all the old mesh out and stuffing some dish scouters in there, respray with the last of the engine paint, only to find that this one is made with the canister at a different angle that now fouls the radiator hose! It is fitted ok and the hose is pressed against the smooth canister, not an edge that could cause quick wear, but a hose rubbing is hose rubbing so will need to replace.
The 2nd breather cover did not have MOWOG stamped on it, so I am assuming is repro? Has anyone else had this problem? I suppose I will have to find someone to repair my original one, or buy yet another to try and find the correct angle. The original but broken one fitted fine.
Thanks,
Edd
