Front indicator/side light lense (1966 model) a bit dirty and thought I 'd remove for a clean.

Ive twisted the lense and chrome surround off, however unable to seperate the the chrome surround from the lense.

I'm trying to twist or push the two apart to no avail, am I missing something ?

I think you push in the plastic and twist. I struggled first time. Mine were quite hard.

They seem to form a close attachment to each other over the years. Mine came apart after a bit of a soak in warm soapy water.
