Traveller sliding glass windows

Hello. How do the sliding windows go? Was already stripped out/fallen off before I got it. Iv got 8 sliding bits of glass. 4 have got latches on them and 4 haven't. Iv wrongly asumed that only one piece of glass moves each side. Hence the glass but seeing a picture has made me think iv got it wrong.

Could someone please post up a picture or two. Just a little confused.

Just worry about this slightly as one runner looks smaller than the other. Cant find any clear pictures online or in the books. Obviously the longer channels go on the outer edge. Do the short bits got at the front or back? Tho im sure it'll make sense at the time and I'm probably over thinking it.

The shorter runners do go inboard, all the way back to the rear pillar. There is a metal stop/trim about six inches long that fits over the channel at the other end and holds the end of the runner in place. I don't think I have any pics but I'll have a look.
Ted's all tucked up under his cover (and it's raining) so I'll see if I can get some pics tomorrow.

Iv got the roll of channelling. Could somebody kindly measure the length of the inner channels for me please? Unless it's obvious. I'm not doing it till next week so no rush.

Hi panky the metal bit you mention that I'm missing one of. Does it attach to the wood that covers the lower channels and what seat catch attaches to?

Hi Steve. The actual length of the metal piece is 22" and the length of channel leading up to it is 32" (with a bit extra to tuck under the trim.

Thanks that's really helpful. Seems simple with a couple of pictures. So all do 4 pieces of glass have the levers/catches on or just the 2 at the front? Iv just got 8 bits of glass 4 with and 4 without. Really feels like my cars getting somewhere now.

Found a picture on ebay. Looks like it is the 4 with the levers on. Thanks. Just need to get the metal bit for the drivers side .

Oh well. Thanks anyway. Very kind of you means alot. Someone 8 miles away has a traveller but im to scared to knock on there door. I rewired part of there house for the previous owners.

Here you go, a bit clearer in the daylight.









You can see that the rearmost window only opens about four inches



The little slotted bracket for the rearmost shoot bolt is screwed into the inside of the waist rail. Hope these help
