Like it! Although I think the O rings could be closer to the butterfly, that would ensure the maximum bearing surface could retain a drop of oil without it being washed off.
Still worth a lash though!

It would be nice if they were also offered with the 'Vizard' airflow treatment (ie. flattening the profile of the shaft in the throat area).

Phil,
A very interesting discovery and I have contacted the seller to see if he can offer the same for the H2 carbs as fitted to the MG TD. He does offer the same for H4 ... H8 which would be suitable for TD Mark II and TF.
I have just received new throttle spindles for the H2 from Burlen and was considering doing the same mod. That could save me the effort.
Many thanks!
Regards
Declan

Well, it took 100 years but I think we might finally have a solution!!!

Rob,
Could be but the question is what are the O rings made of and how long will they last? A lip seal solution would, in my opinion, be better.

Anybody tried these teflon bushes?
http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop-by-mo ... -type.html
The bushes are Part No. AUD3079, item 43 on the Moss diagram. The spindle bore has to be reamered out (8mm) to take the bushes, but once done the bushes could be removed and replaced when worn.
The O ring idea still looks very good to me. As long as the rings do the job, last a reasonable time and are easily available, it's not a big job to replace them when worn.
