Wiring rear light traveller

Hi, the previous owner cut the wires back to the petrol tank, so I'm trying to work out what goes where. I have 5 wires - I found one that goes to the petrol tank, leaving me with 4 wires.
I assume one goes to left indicator
Then one to right indicator
One to brake lights
One to sidelights- think it should loop through the number plate lamp?
My traveller is a 1967, and I was wondering if any one had a diagram -or if anyone knew what colour wires went where?
Would realy appreciate some help because I'm a bit stuck at the moment! Thanks, matt
