Gaps

I'm restoring a split screen.is there an avarage quarter panel to door gap? Im thinking maybe 4-6mm and a door to front wing gap of the same ?

This is 49 with all original panels. I would say probably more like 4mm?
It's apart now so afraid I can not measure.

Be careful with making the front gap too small as -depending on the position of the front wing - the back edge of the front wing can foul the door when its wide open, scuffing the paintwork. It's down to the way the door tucks in around the pivot point.
I've had to set mine at around 8mm at the front and 3-4 mm at the back.
Remember you can get shims to go under the hinges to correct things later.

If the doors do foul the front lip of the wing check that the door check straps are in place and the rubbers are intact.

Thanks guys .iv fitted the flitch panel and tacked the piller in place. The door seems to fit ok but I'm worried about the wing .at the top it seems to stick out.any ideas?[frame]
