insurance
Right I know that this has been covered time and time again but , here goes again. My insurance is due to expire in two weeks time and my current insurer is Swinton [which came in at £70 last year] but they have wrote to me saying that they no longer insure classic cars for some bizarre reason I've had an online quote from FJ which comes in at a whopping £120 !So I can remember Lancaster as another recommended minor insurer, but how many others are there?
Re: insurance
RH Specialists are the ones I use on all my cars. Very competitive and includes break down cover

Re: insurance
Many people on here use RH Classic Insurance 01277 206911, as they seem to offer better value for a lower price.
My Morris is £67 plus insurance tax, a total of £73 per year for 3000 miles, fully comp cover, roadside attention or breakdown recovery home, and if I write the car off, they give me the damaged car back, free of charge.
I don't think you can get better than that!

Re: insurance
I insure my 5 old cars plus my wife's jeep through a broker and they get us an amazing price as a job lot. Next year I will ask RH for a quote as I hear that their customer service is excellent.

Re: insurance
I had been with FJ for many years (about 20 when I count it up....) this year I shopped around a bit. I tried RH but they dont cover without a garage and my everyday minor lives on the drive. I went with Lancaster who do a multi vehicle policy and I saved just over £100 on all 6 cars, which pleased me greatly until I had to start filling in all new agreed value forms and providing photos for them all!
Too many Minors so little time.....

Re: insurance
Well I've had quotes from a number of companies as Swinton my old insurer [last years cover cost me £78.00] no longer cover classics apparently! So, RH wanted £145 .00 , Lancaster wanted £91.00, FJ wanted £135.00 and the best of the bunch that got my hard earned cash for the same goods was, ....drum roll........ Adrian Flux which came in at £99.95 with an online quote and I was told to telephone for a better rate, twenty minutes later on the phone and hey presto, they took the biscuit at £69.95 for fully comprehensive with salvage retention, agreed value, European cover, £100,000 legal cover. Bloomin bargain .
