Hi,
Any thoughts on the below, the price seems good and I've heard that most are 'patterns' now anyway..............
I also wanted to confirm that the master cylinder was the same throughout the production run, mine is a 1955 car.
Many thanks,
Mike.

Be prepared to have to dress it to fit. Some of the repros are (or were) a tad too wide.

When I clicked on the link you give and went to the page, just above the item you are writing about is a suggestion showing a lockheed one for a Minor, I'd go for that if I were you
P.S. As Declan says you will need to file a little off the sides to get it to fit as I had to.

To answer the question as to whether the master cylinder was the same throughout the production run - it was not!
There were two master cylinder fitted to the Minor during its production run and they had the following cylinder bores.
Pre 1962.......................7/8" internal dia. Pt No: 17H7423 (BMC Pts list)
Post 1962......................13/16" internal dia. Pt No: 17H6613 (BMC Pts list) / CBS144 (ESM).
It appears that currently only the later master cylinder is available as a complete unit but seal kits for the earlier master cylinder is available.

Thanks for the info. Would it make a big difference using the later 13/16" master cylinder, rather than spending an age looking for an early 7/8" one?
Best wishes,
Mike.

The later one will work just the same.
As already mentioned they are an extremly tight fit, I had to grind a small amount off bothe sides of the last one I fitted after a lot of cursing and some skinned knuckles.........

Yep. Fitted a new Lockheed one last week to the traveller. Had to shave a bit of each bolt hole. But with no cursing David.
