Prepping new panels

Hello,
Before I get too carried away with welding new panels on, I'd just like to ask some advise on the correct prepping of these.
So far, I have got them from ESM and they have a black paint on. I have left this on instead of cleaning off as it seems quite well coated.
Over the top of this I have painted Bonda zinc anti rust primer.
In the box sections, ie. behind the bulk head in that little cavity only accessible when the wheel arch is out I've used Bilt Hamber Dynax S-50 Extreme Anti-Corrosion Wax with the long tube to get right in there.
On any lightly rusted parts i'm not changing, I've cleaned it back as much as possible and used Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 Rust Killer Barrier System.
Basically I think I am asking what is the correct prep for new panels, from cleaning back to priming, etching painting etc.
If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated. Better to find out now and have a strategy instead of having to re do it.
Many thanks!
