Hi, I Have A Pinion Stamped Mowog BTA540, 9/38, D35 I Think It Is Stamped 540 The 5 Is Faded, I Would Like To Know Is There A BTA540 And Is It For Morris Minor, Also D35 What Does It Mean, Any Info Would Be Great, Thanks Shea

Below is the information relating to Minor/A35/A40/Sprite/Midget/Wolseley and Riley differential assys.
There were a few odd ratios made but I would check again the letters/numbers on the differential assy/carrier.
From the information you have given and it being a BTA diff 9/38 (4.222) assy I would suggest that it is a Sprite/Midget 1098cc as listed in the lower box.
It will fit the Minor but make sure that the filler plug is correct for the axle fitted.

Thank You, I Will Check The Numbers Again, I Am Sure It Says BTA, On The Bottom Off The Gear Itself It Says 1329 And A 0 Inside A square, Thanks Again Shea
