Seatbelt anchor points

Hi all
I am starting to put together the interior of my 1962 duotone saloon.
I know that the upper mounting for the seatbelt in the two door is fixed to the rear quarter inner panel.
There is a reinforced section in the flange of the panel. However, this fixing is in the middle of the panel and
A fair way back. At some point a previous owner has drilled holes nearer the pillar so the belt hangs straighter.
Has anyone else done this. I guess I should use the correct reinforced mounting, but the belt does seem to be at
A very odd angle to the floor fixing.
Any thoughts please. Ty
