We've got a month to give our views, according to today's CCWeekly. Last time this came up (re pre 1960 exemptions) it got a bit snarly!

My mot ran out in June, sounds like I might not have to worry about renewing !

If its for a 40 year old car rule from 1977 backwards i think it may look like it comes in in 2017, the MOT bit makes little difference to me as i always like to be very car safe on the road, but it may have an impact on prices of classics that are everyday users.

I'll rely on kicking the tyres now and then to check for safety

------ joking aside I think I can inspect the relevant parts once a year, and be fifty quid better off. ------- if indeed it ever happens!

Given that there is an ongoing consultation on this, and its still open that story is a bit premature!

To be fair it is an MSN news story and i think they are struggling to find somethings other than the US election to report on.
