I have had fitted a 1275 Marina Engine. It has 4HSU one and three quarter inch choke,
and it roars like a jet engine under the bonnet. Just had it fitted by garage, so don't
know what air filter they have fitted but please could anyone tell me what air filter
I could fit to make it sound quiet.
All replies would be gratefully received and appreciated.
thank you all in advance to those who may offer advice.

It sounds like they've fitted a K&N, it's an excellent filter but they can be a bit noisy, a picture would help. A Mini one will fit but you will also need the inlet bend as well to fit it to.

Ebay is probably tour best bet, one like this

But you will need the wing bolts and inlet bend to suit.

But do make sure that they will fit your carb before you buy
