Hi,
The "point" of changing over is mainly if you decide to add polarity-sensitive eqipment, eg. a CD/radio. This was my main reason.
There are no major parts to buy, as such. Simply turning the battery round only implies that you might have to buy a new pair of terminals, as pos. and neg. are slightly different sizes.

Uh? Sell it to men for a short time for them to ride in?

Gawd, I'm getting old - didn't realise that's what 'pimping your ride' meant these days, thought it was just another bit of unfathomable illiteracy. Now I know, I shall use it at every available opportunity,,,

It's not just you mate, it's me too. I'm 30 and although a few people say it's over the hill, I just can't see the attraction of this 'rapper-style' garbage.......... no wonder the country is 'dumbing down'. :( A lot the 15 year old kids now want to be gangsters........... hmmm...... what effect is this having? See many 15 year olds stabbing and shooting people nowadays?? How about twice on the news today!

No offence BTW Nikki! I'm not shooting the messenger

Just leave it to the Americans, the street gangsta speak. i'll stick to ye olde sophisticated English!
And 60s music is great, I really get into driving my dear elisabeth, when listening to my MW radio playing such songs!

Do what I do, mate. :D
Get a CD player, and belt out the old Beatles hits as you drive along.
Paul McCartney's live world tour of 2003 does it for me........... :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I have got an original radio in elisabeth since last week, maybe i'll have it uprated to FM anyway. Looks heaps better than modern plastic though! You are right about McCartney's live world tour btw, great CD

You can fit modern accessories that are only -ve earth.
You can fit electronic ignition, that only works with -ve earth.
The car should be a little less prone to rust, I believe.

All of thise things and the added bonus of not creating a firework display when someone connects jump leads 'the normal way round'.
